Why I am writing this…
January 20, 2026
I didn’t set out to write a book. I was just trying to make sense of what was happening to me.
When your body changes in ways you don’t understand, it affects more than just your health. It shifts how you see yourself, what you’re capable of, and how you move through the world. Things that once felt automatic suddenly require effort, planning, or letting go.
And no one really prepares you for that.
For a long time, I kept most of it to myself. I showed up, pushed through, and adapted. From the outside, things looked fine—but internally, there was a lot I wasn’t saying.
Writing became a way to process it. At first, just for me. But the more I wrote, the more I realized this wasn’t just my experience.
There are so many people living in that same in-between space—still functioning, still showing up, while carrying something invisible.
That’s why I’m writing this.
This blog, and my memoir When the Healer Breaks, are about telling that story honestly—the uncertainty, the identity shifts, and everything in between.
If you’re here, maybe something resonates.
And if it does, I hope this reminds you—you’re not the only one navigating it.
